When I arrived at the cloud 9 offices Clare was ready with some proof reading for me to do but it didn’t take me very long. Then Simon and I worked on my logo for ‘Kingfisher Cakes’ .We worked on Adobe Illustrator and I had to draw out all the separate shapes that made up the kingfisher and then stick them together. It took longer than I expected but I am very pleased with the end result. We then looked at different typefaces and put different combinations together. Simon printed them out and I still can’t decide which one I like the best! Afterwards I found some pictures on the internet of cakes (which made Ash very hungry!) and made a mood board to give me general inspiration. Molly decided she liked what I was doing so her bed has now been moved next to my desk. I never thought doing work next to a snoring dog would be so difficult!! Tomorrow I am going to finish my mood board and design some business cards.

I arrived at 9 this morning and I was a bit nervous, but Clare was waiting at the door and she was very friendly. I was given a tour of the new cloud 9 offices and was greeted by molly the dog. Everyone was rounded up and I got to sit on the briefing, where Clare told everybody their tasks for today. After the meeting Ash told me about what he does, his job involves all things web-related and the website code looked very complicated so I left him to it!! Then Simon showed me some different pieces of marketing and brand ID cloud 9 have done and what a big difference the type of paper you use makes! Clare gave me some proof reading to do and then she and mike took me to see their client, Morsø. It was very interesting seeing the client’s reaction to cloud 9’s ideas (he liked them, thankfully!) When I got back from the Morsø offices Clare set me a project for the week: brand and advertise the launch of a cake shop in Knowle. I have decided to call it Kingfisher Cakes and I have designed a logo which Simon is going to help me with tomorrow. I have had a great day and I’m looking forward to coming back tomorrow.

Pooped Pups!

I can’t talk because i’m a dog, and we don’t do that. I can blog though, so here is the first of my entries.

Today i’m mostly just waiting in reception for visitors to arrive. It’s a nice sunny day, so it’s no chore!

Catching some rays

I’m off work tomorrow: and looking forward to going to the beach for a short break. Check out mike’s blog for details of where i’m off to.

What can you expect from my future blogs? well who knows. Food comes highly in my life, as do walking and meeting people so I guess it’ll be plenty of this, but if you have any ideas just let me know by commenting below.
